Tending

Rhythmic Practice for a Life Well Lived

The Philosophy: A Different Kind of Attention

It is natural to look for a "fix" when life feels heavy or disorienting. Many of us have tried the quick resets, the weekend retreats, or the latest techniques, hoping they will finally settle the noise of anxiety or the weight of a transition.

Tending is a different movement. It acknowledges that self-awareness isn't a problem to be solved, but a capacity we grow into through consistent work. It is the recognition that our lives don't always need "repairing"—they need attending to. Like steady drops of water on a stone, the power of Tending lies in its persistence. By making a regular, rhythmic return to your own experience, you begin to unpick inherited patterns and consciously choose how you inhabit the life you have been given.

How it Works: Consistent, Daily Action

Tending is delivered as an intentional, four-week digital cycle. These weekly touchpoints are not passive newsletters to sit in your inbox; they are active, working tools designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Each cycle offers a different lens—exploring themes such as Anchoring, Values, Boundaries, Transitions, or the process of Conscious Becoming. Together, we work to untangle deep-seated emotions and examine the inherited perceptions that may be silently running your life.

Over the course of the cycle, you will receive a layered, multi-sensory landscape of support:

  • The Weekly Email Guide: A clear, beautifully paced text framework delivered every Monday morning. This sets the theme for your week and provides a structured focus so you know exactly how to guide your attention.

  • Somatic Audio & Video Practices: Depending on the nature of the week’s theme, you will receive recorded audio or video practices. These range from nervous system grounding and breathwork to guided active imagination, allowing you to move away from overthinking and return to the reliable reality of the body.

  • Integration Worksheets & Inquiries: Gentle reflective questions and creative inquiries included with your weekly materials. These act as companion prompts to your somatic practices, giving you a soft structure for writing or reflecting in your own notebook whenever you find a quiet window in your day.

The Rhythm: One Drop a Week, A Lifetime of Practice

While you receive one structural email packet per week, the invitation is for a small, daily check-in.

You do not need hours of free time to do this work. Tending is built for the reality of a busy life. By committing just 15 minutes a day to the week's somatic anchor or contemplative prompt, you create a consistent, reliable rhythm. Over the four weeks, these steady, intentional "drops" build the internal stability, clarity, and boundaries you need to navigate life’s inevitable currents.

What to Expect:

  • No Subscriptions: You join the cycles that resonate with you, when you have the capacity. You rest when you need to.

  • The Practice: Each cycle offers a different lens—exploring themes such as Anchoring, Values, Boundaries, Transitions, or the process of Conscious Becoming.

  • The Investment: £18 per full four-week cycle.

Because this work follows a seasonal rhythm, the best way to participate is to join the Tending List. When a new cycle is preparing to begin, I send an invitation to the list with the theme and focus for the coming month. You simply step in when the theme meets a need in your current life.

A Note on Staying Connected:

To ensure these invitations reach you, please add info@seasonallifetherapy.co.uk to your "Safe Senders" or contact list.

  • In Gmail: Open an email from me, click the three dots in the top right, and select "Add to Contacts list."

  • In Outlook: Right-click my email address and select "Add to Outlook Contacts."

  • If you don't see an email: Check your "Promotions" or "Spam" folder. If you find it there, drag it to your primary Inbox—this tells your email provider that these are messages you actually want to read.

The Value of the Small Shift

The work of Tending is subtle but profound. It is designed for those who know that real change doesn't usually happen in a single 'aha' moment, but in the quiet, honest attention we give to what is actually there, day after day. One of the participants, Sarah, said: 'I'm getting more out of this than I expected to!' That's the power of small, consistent moments of attending to the Self

Whether you are navigating a major life transition or simply feeling the 'quiet disorientation' of no longer knowing who you are, these cycles provide the ground to begin again.
