Individual Counselling: Presence and Becoming

The Invitation to Pause

We often find ourselves in seasons of life that feel quiet, disorienting, or unexpectedly heavy. Whether you are navigating a known transition—like grief, a change in career, or a shift in identity—or you are simply aware of an underlying restlessness you cannot yet name, therapy offers a space to stop, step out of the noise, and look at what is actually there.

This work is not about fixing a broken part of yourself. It is about slowing down to your true pace, returning to the reliable reality of your body, and tending to the deeper layers of your lived experience. Whether we meet online or step outside into the natural world, we begin exactly where you are.

The Frameworks We Use

Our work is a collaboration. Rather than forcing you into a rigid, one-size-fits-all model, we draw on various therapeutic maps only as they become relevant to your specific journey and what your nervous system is ready for:

  • Somatic & Nervous System Awareness: Moving away from overthinking by learning to safely track the language of your body. This allows us to find where tension or survival energy is stored in your physical system, helping you build internal resources and bring your body back into balance.

  • Parts Work (Subconscious & Archetypal Inquiry): Meeting the different, hidden aspects of your personality—such as the protector, the inner critic, or the wounded parts—with profound curiosity and compassion. This helps you understand why you repeat certain patterns and safely steps beneath the chatter of the analytical mind.

  • Systemic & Symbolic Mapping: Looking at the wider landscape of your life. By working with archetypes, metaphor, and the inherited perceptions passed down through your history, we gain a panoramic view of your current season, transforming random confusion into a meaningful chapter of your evolution.

Moving Beyond the Head

It is natural to try to think our way through difficulty. We analyse, we categorise, and we seek reasons, often living primarily in our heads as a way to stay safe or in control. But a sense of disorientation is often a call to look deeper at how we are standing in our lives—to look at our choices, our freedom, and our sense of meaning.

This means we move beyond just talking about your life and start experiencing it in the moment. Real transformation is a lived, felt experience—something that happens when the body finally catches up with what the mind has been trying to figure out.

To support this, my practice is rooted in a deeply Integrative Counselling framework. This is not passive talk therapy; it is an active, experiential process that adapts entirely to your unique nervous system. Within this container, we work with several supportive pathways:

Relational & Deep Inquiry

Our core foundation. A safe space where we look at the whole landscape of your life. We work creatively with archetypes and metaphor to reach truths logic misses, engage gently with the different 'parts' of your psyche, and focus on cultivating the internal resources you need to feel anchored.

Hypnotherapy & Subconscious Inquiry

An optional, gentle addition to our integrative work. By blending conversation with collaborative hypnotherapy, we can step beneath the analytical chatter of the mind to safely access deeper layers—easing the grip of persistent anxiety, deep-seated fears, or specific phobias at their root.

Outdoor Ecotherapy

An invitation to take our somatic and integrative work outside into the tranquil landscapes of East Devon. Working alongside the elements and the rhythm of the natural world helps us quiet the loop of overthinking and return to the reliable reality of the body.

Two Ways to Meet

To make this work as accessible and supportive as possible, we can choose the physical environment that best fits your needs and your nervous system.

Online Therapy

Working online provides a focused, contained space from the comfort of your own familiar environment. This way of working allows for a consistent, rhythmic return to our sessions, regardless of your location. I work with clients across the UK and EU, offering therapy in both English and Polish.

In the Landscape: Outdoor Therapy

In outdoor therapy, we step out of the four walls of a traditional room and acknowledge that we are not separate from our environment. Walking in the landscapes of East Devon, the natural world becomes an active participant in our sessions.

The shifting weather, the terrain underfoot, and the open horizon are elemental forces that can hold, challenge, and reflect your internal process. Nature offers a unique kind of mirroring—it is entirely non-judgemental and indifferent to your performance, allowing a deeper, more honest part of you to emerge.
