Last Updated: May 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Anna Yardley (“the Practitioner”), trading as Seasonal Life Therapy, and the individual or entity (“the Client”) accessing the website seasonallifetherapy.com or purchasing services and products. By engaging with these services, the Client agrees to these Terms in full.
2. Scope of Services
The Practitioner provides professional services across three distinct categories:
-
Clinical Services: Integrative Counselling and Hypnotherapy.
-
Consultative Services: Symbolic Analysis including Astrology and Human Design.
-
Educational & Digital Services: Online and live workshops, digital products (including audio recordings), and structured courses.
3. Professional Standards and Clinical Boundaries
-
Ethical Framework: Clinical services are conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
-
Clinical Contract: All 1:1 clinical clients must sign a separate Therapeutic Contract prior to the commencement of treatment. This contract outlines specific confidentiality limits, record-keeping, and clinical supervision.
-
No Medical Advice: Educational materials, workshops, and symbolic consultations do not constitute medical, psychiatric, or financial advice. Clients with pre-existing medical conditions should consult a qualified medical professional.
4. Payments and Financial Terms
-
Fees: All fees are clearly stated at the point of purchase. The Practitioner reserves the right to amend fees with reasonable notice.
-
Workshops and Courses: Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure a place.
-
Digital Products: Payment for downloadable content (audios/courses) must be made in full before access is granted.
5. Cancellations and Refund Policy
-
1:1 Sessions: A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Failure to provide this notice will result in the full session fee being charged.
-
Workshops (Live and Online): Cancellations made by the Client more than 7 days before the event may be eligible for a refund, minus an administrative fee. Cancellations made within 7 days are non-refundable.
-
Digital Products (Consumer Rights Act 2015): In accordance with UK law, by purchasing digital content (audios/courses) and opting for immediate access/download, the Client explicitly waives their 14-day right to cancel. Once the download or streaming has commenced, no refunds will be issued.
6. Outdoor and Nature-Based Sessions
The Practitioner offers sessions in outdoor environments. Clients participating in these sessions acknowledge and agree to the following:
-
Assumption of Risk: Outdoor environments involve inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, varying weather conditions, and public presence. The Client assumes all risks associated with these environments.
-
Client Responsibility: The Client is responsible for ensuring they have appropriate footwear, clothing, and physical fitness for the chosen location.
-
Liability: The Practitioner maintains public liability insurance but accepts no liability for personal injury or damage to personal property occurring during outdoor sessions, except where such injury is caused by the Practitioner’s proven gross negligence.
-
Weather and Force Majeure: The Practitioner reserves the right to cancel or reschedule outdoor sessions at short notice due to adverse weather conditions or safety concerns. In such instances, the Practitioner is not liable for any travel costs incurred by the Client. If a session cannot be moved to a remote/online format, it will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
7. Intellectual Property
-
Ownership: All website content, course materials, audio recordings, and workshop handouts remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Practitioner.
-
Usage License: Purchase of a digital product or course grants the Client a personal, non-transferable license for individual use. The Client shall not record, copy, redistribute, or resell any materials without express written consent.
8. Symbolic Services Disclaimer
Astrology and Human Design consultations are provided as tools for self-reflection and existential exploration. The Practitioner makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes or "predictions." All insights provided are subject to the Client's own interpretation and agency.
9. Conduct and Termination
-
Workshops: The Practitioner reserves the right to remove any participant from a live or online workshop who displays disruptive or inappropriate behaviour, without a refund.
-
Clinical Termination: The Practitioner reserves the right to terminate the professional relationship if it is deemed that the Client’s needs exceed the Practitioner’s scope of practice or if there is a breach of these Terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Practitioner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. The total liability of the Practitioner for any claim arising out of the services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for those specific services.
11. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
-
Initial Resolution: In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through informal discussion.
-
Professional Body: If the dispute relates to clinical practice, the Client may refer the matter to the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
-
Mediation: For non-clinical disputes (e.g., regarding digital products or workshops), the parties agree to consider Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) before commencing court proceedings.
12. Remote and Online Services
-
Client Environment: For online sessions and workshops, the Client is responsible for ensuring they are in a private, safe, and confidential environment.
-
Technical Failure: The Practitioner is not responsible for the failure of the Client’s internet connection or hardware. If a session is interrupted by the Practitioner’s technical failure, the time will be made up or the session rescheduled.
13. Professional Conduct and Safeguarding
-
Clinical Safety: The Practitioner reserves the right to terminate a session immediately if the Client is perceived to be under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs. The full session fee will remain payable.
-
Safeguarding: While sessions are confidential, the Practitioner has a legal and ethical duty to breach confidentiality if there is a perceived risk of serious harm to the Client or others, or as required by UK law (e.g., terrorism, money laundering).
14. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
